Dear Students and Faculty,

It is a proud privilege for me to lead the Faculty of Visual and Performing Arts at Guru Kashi University—a space where creativity meets discipline, and dreams transform into reality. This faculty is not just about education; it is about nurturing visionaries, artists, entrepreneurs, and leaders who will shape the future of the creative world.

Before joining Guru Kashi University, I had the honor of serving for 37 years in various academic and leadership roles. I have worked as an Assistant Associate Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Design and Fine Arts at Panjab University, Chandigarh, Principal of a PG College in Jalandhar, and Professor & Head of the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Guru Nanak Dev University.

Additionally, I have held roles as Director of the Department of Lifelong Learning, Dean, Senate and Syndicate member, and have been actively associated with NAAC. Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to elevating institutions by enhancing academic excellence, student enrollment, industry collaborations, and overall institutional growth. I bring this same passion and vision to Guru Kashi University, where our goal is not just to teach but to empower, create, and transform students into skilled professionals.

At the heart of our mission lies a commitment to excellence, consistency, and precision. Our faculty is a vibrant blend of artistic disciplines, including Fine Arts, Fashion, Beauty and Wellness, Gurmat Sangeet, and Hindustani Classical Music. We believe in the philosophy of the 7 D’s—Daring to Dream, Direction, Determination, Devotion, Dedication, Discipline, and Deadline—because structured effort turns dreams into reality. To enrich our students’ learning journey, we are actively engaged with national-level projects under SPIC MACAY and ICSSR, providing opportunities for research, cultural exposure, and academic exploration. These collaborations add immense value, allowing students to delve deeper into art, heritage, and academia.

Our Art Gallery, Fashion Boutique, and innovative Music Performance Lab stand as symbols of creativity and craftsmanship, showcasing the exceptional talent of our students. With a wide range of academic programs—from Diploma to PhD, as well as UG and PG professional courses in Fashion Designing, Fine Arts, Performing Arts (Music, Gurmat Sangeet, Tabla), and Cosmetology—we attract passionate students from across India and abroad. We are privileged to have a distinguished faculty of expert teachers and artists guiding our students. Guru Kashi University is a sacred space of knowledge, creativity, and transformation.
