The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) is an autonomous body responsible for co-ordinating agricultural education and research. GKU is approved by ICAR under agriculture courses.

National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is a statutory body of Indian government set up under the National Council for Teacher Education Act, 1993 (#73, 1993) in 1995 is to formally oversee standards, procedures and processes in the Indian education system. GKU is approved by NCTE under act 1993.
GKU was established in the year 2011. The University is recognized by the UGC Under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956. It is approved by the PCI.
GKU is approved by the University the Bar Council of India (BCI). The Bar Council of India visits and inspects Universities/Law colleges in the country as part of its statutory function of promoting legal education and laying down standards in consultation with the Universities in India and the State Bar Councils.

However the privileges and benifits under the category will be regulated as per condition givn under Clause 6 (change in Category of University for non-maintenance of accreditation score or ranking as define in clause 3)
