Department of Fashion Designing

Established in 2016, the Department of Visual and Performing Arts (Fashion Designing) at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo, Bathinda, is a dynamic center for creative expression, fashion innovation, and cultural enrichment.

The department aims to nurture aspiring fashion professionals through a balanced integration of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design techniques.

The curriculum encourages originality, critical thinking, and hands-on learning across areas like fashion designing, stitching, drafting, draping, and sketching. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are tailored to blend technical proficiency with aesthetic development, supported by courses in fashion boutique operations and interdisciplinary approaches.

Students benefit from a fully equipped environment featuring electronic and manual sewing machines, cutting and ironing tables, and design labs. Regular exhibitions, seminars, and workshops with renowned designers ensure exposure to current trends and real-world experience.
